Student Stipends

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we have funds for a limited number of stipends to financially assist students who might otherwise be unable to attend PKC this year.

Requests should be made by March 10th, 2023. Initial support decisions will be made by March 15th, 2023

How to Request a Stipend

A request must consist of the following, sent via email to the General Chairs.

1. An email statement from the applicant on why they deserve an award to attend the conference. (Subject line: "PKC Stipend Request for [applicant name]")
2. An email from a professor at the student's institution (e.g. their Ph.D. supervisor) that supports and justifies the request. (Subject line: "Supporting PKC Stipend Request for [applicant name]")

If awarded, the travel grant will usually cover the cost of registration, and possibly a limited amount of travel and hotel costs. Thus, an applicant is likely to need to supplement the funds from other sources. One or both emails above should indicate awareness of this.

We strongly encourage women and members of other historically under-represented groups to request support.
